In these pictures we used Marco to help us find definition, more colors and more textures. When you use the Macro on the camera it helps get you closer to the objects you want a picture of. It allows your eyes to see more colors and textures than it'd ever normally see.
Depth of field is when your empahsis in the picture in perfectly clear and the surounding background is blurry that way theres more focus on the subject. By blury I mean the background is less sharp and more pixalated.
Macro could be a photographers compositional trick of choice because it's alot of fun to use. It can help bring more colors out in your emphsis. Aslo if your taking a picture of a person, it can help with focusing on there emotions.
My favorite picture out of the two, is the first one, macro:Texture. You get to see more colors that you wouldn't usualy see in the dirt. You see each pebble as it lays. It really like this picture because of how it uses Macro. It brings out everything in the photo.
